The Western Michigan Chapter of ISACA is chapter
number thirty-eight of the chapters that comprise the global presence
that is the Information Systems Audit and Control Association. ISACA was formed
in 1969 and our chapter was formed in 1979.
The local chapter comprises over fifty members representing banking, insurance, manufacturing, computer services, and state government. The members can attend, as well as assist in the development of, the four or five meetings and annual seminar to improve their knowledge of information technology governance activities and business controls to mitigate business risks. Trust is good, but business controls are better.
